Soap with a POSITIVE Message for the Creative
Talk about surrounding yourself with good thoughts this takes the cake, as in a "Cake of soap." Okay that was corny but the point is that it's nice to see so much creativity even in daily items.
Why is this so amazing?
Because TCB's mantra is "Turning the mundane into Marvelous." So the winner is this everyday item that can now grace your bathroom counter.
Let's not forget the benefits of Glycerine which is great for sensitive skin and helps to moisturize. You can tell if your soap is great if it seems to almost melt away. The #1 goal is to find a soap maker near you & buy local. PEACE be the Journey.

DIY CREATIVES Self-Care - Walnut Scrub
Back-in-the-day my sister and I would take more time from our usual beauty rituals. In preparation for the weekend we would mask, wax, scrub, oil, condition and listen to music with a loud base. Since becoming a mother of seven I don't quite have that kind of time.
Try not to fill the grinder up because the oils from the walnut will cause it to clog.
It will be extremely gooey but you want to make sure that you incorporate all of the honey into the ground walnuts. When you're ready to use rub it over a moist face in an upward circular motion. You can leave it on for a few and then rinse it off. Showers work best for this messy concoction. *Remember you can substitute flaxseed if you're allergic.
Speaking of little girls... look who wanted to try it out. Since it was made by me and all natural I didn't mind. PEACE be the Journey.
I've been slowly rekindling that love for natural beauty and the only difference is that I keep it super-simple. This recipe has two ingredients and can be kept in the shower. I use it daily until it's all gone.
Try not to fill the grinder up because the oils from the walnut will cause it to clog.
- 1/2 Cup Walnuts (or flaxseed)
- 2-3 Tbsp Honey (local organic)
- 1 Mason jar to mix & store

DIY Natural Beauty Products
Making your own body scrubs and mask is easier then you think. If you can set aside one hour on a Sunday afternoon the possibilities are endless. These are examples from a class I teach called EAT IT OR WEAR IT and I have seen participants licking their spoons. Bottom line is that you can step away from harsh chemicals.
BASIC BROWN SUGAR SCRUB
Remember it's food so store in a cool place and use it often. PEACE be the Journey.
(Choose only the best ingredients & always consult your doctor before trying any recipe from this blog.)

Creative Beauty Summer Starter-Kit
Let me say that quality is EVERYTHING and you get what you pay for so don't skimp on yourself. You're an amazing creation of intricate structure and a wonderful experience we call "human being." What you put on your skin is just as important as what goes into your body.
All of these products, with the exception of the honey, is from a lovely brand called Mountain Rose Herbs. (Link Below) I purchased my essentials through Ubiquitous Journey in Tacoma, WA. (Yes there's a difference between their coconut oil and the ones at most grocery stores.)

The honey is local (Yippee) and you'll notice two types; blackberry and raspberry. It's important to know that they're not flavored. This is a natural process that happens when the hive is around certain plants and they pollenate the flowers of that particular flora.
I can't say enough good things about Vitamin E. It's wonderful internally and externally. I also like using almond oil with Vitamin E because they complement one another.
This is the start to many-many-many wonderful DIY beauty products. I mentioned these items in my #BeautyBabiesBigBoyz vlog and I wanted to share them here. ***Good news I'm teaching a class using these items called "Eat It or Wear It" for Free-University. I will be volunteering my services and all the profits go towards Free-U. That's a whopping $25 for supplies but if you don't live in the area then stay tuned. I'm working with Ubi's to make kits that correspond with my vlogs.***

TCV isn't complete without Kiala's water. Every session she shares insight about it's importance in our lives. <3
Of course I have some sort of tea but my favorite thing to share is a different mug during our meet-ups.
I try to add an art journal page after our sessions. This one is from a previous burst of inspiration. PEACE be the Journey.

#iLoveTBC , Day 23 - Meditate to be courageous.
Sometimes you have to dig deep and find the courage to follow through. Sure, we're all good a having big ideas or starting a 30-day challenge but what does it take to finish strong. I believe that it takes courage.
Watch the 1-Minute Meditation and doodle or write a few images that come to mind. It's just one minute, you can hold back the sun for a moment of stillness.

- Re-frame your thinking.
- Add positive thoughts.
- Build new thought patterns.
- Step AWAY from the things that will cause you to fall.
- Step AWAY from the people that will cause you to fall.
- To believe that you are meant to grasp happiness and own it.
- Finish what you started.
- Stop giving into distractions.
- Ask for "Help" when you need support to reach your goal.

#iLoveTBC , Day 22 - Create rituals that will benefit you.
The difference between habits and rituals is intention. You create significance by the attention you devote to something. Brushing your teeth and combing your hair can feel mundane unless you change your mindset.
What if you woke up into your "Beauty Ritual" instead of morning madness. Face, hair, clothes are all apart of your morning and maybe add a happy yoga flow to improve balance. After all your morning is super important because it sets the tone for the day.
Make some time to address what you would like to do. Then make a plan to get it done!

- Write what you want in your morning schedule.
- Schedule it. Add it to a daily calendar.
- Make sure to block off time.
- You might have to wake up earlier to spend more time on yourself.
- Be diligent and don't allow stuff to crowd into your rituals.

#iLoveTBC , Day 10 - Qualities and Appearance
I often go on Pinterest during my spare time to relax and see what's trending in the world. It's fun to pin pieces [clothes] from some of the worlds top designers and fashion moguls but then I have to ask my self, "Is this outfit me?"
Have you ever purchased something and then realized that it looked better on the hanger? In fact that's all a model really is, a hanger for the designer's clothes. [I heard that on a popular reality show for aspiring models.] Yet you're so much more then just a hanger in fact what you wear speaks volumes. Did you know that?
We are constantly evolving and our bodies change like the phases of the moon. Accepting the season's that our bodies go through is healthy. Maybe you're working out for the first time or returning to fitness. Either way it's a boost for society to have healthy & vibrant creatives in the community. After all we bring color into the world. PEACE be the Journey.

Have to say, this was the best Chai I EVER DRANK!!! The soup fed the soul with healthy goodness. You must try, if you're in the area and if it's available. All soups are made fresh by a local chef.
You know what's also cool... booking an appointment with Kerri. [If you're in the area.] She's an awesome herbalist and long time friend. So much goodness. PEACE be the Journey.

What's in my bag?!✨
We [Sista & Möi] especially enjoy "Day Trips," because they're mini adventures within surrounding communities. The best part is that it plays an important role in staying connected & creative. [And we all know how important creativity is.]
If you want an eclectic and color-filled experience try Wallingford in Seattle. It has an array of boutiques that I have yet to explore plus so much scope for the imagination. It began it's life as an education center and you can see the historic preservation throughout the building.

On this particular day we decided to check out Pharmaca which was a great surprise. They sell homeopathic, natural care products and so much more. We also noticed that a lot of the products were priced better then competitive stores in our neighborhood of Tacoma. Was it worth the drive? Ah, YES because this was only one of several interesting stores.
It's my sister's b-day in a few days and I decided to spoil her with some self care Andalou goodies. She's promised to blog or vlog about her experience. So I guess we'll all have to wait... unless you're tried it before :)
They do have a few samples at the store of various products and helpful staff. Make it a day-trip and tell them about this awesome blog you read. Chances are that they probably won't know us but that's not a biggie. Enjoy the visit. PEACE be the Journey.
