Top 3 Magazines for Vision or Dream Boards - MY PICKS
Tired of thumbing through ads when looking for great pictures? I have three suggestions but you might not want to cut into these because they're not cheap and filled with so many beautiful images. I'm starting with a new favorite...
1. Happinez a magazine that focuses on peace, tranquility and authenticity. Its publication feels more like something you would want to collect. Price $17+
2. The Simple Things is filled with images that say so much from food to features its all here. I also liked the typography :)$9+
3. Private Island is everything your traveling mind needs to wonder into the realm of "possibilities." It features islands for sale or rent and this is the perfect magazine for your dream board. $14+

DIY Your Own Quotes for Pinterest - 5min Using Your Mobile Device
Once you start creating your own stock photos make sure to include a few for backdrops. These are great for writing text and sharing inspirational quotes. Especially for posting in Pinterest. Here are a few things to consider...
1. Find images that looks great vertical or horizontal.
2. Get pics with dominating color schemes. I used a blank wall at Starbucks because I liked the wood grain look.
3. Step back and take a wide angle shot. I use my iPhone because inspiration can sneak up and being prepared is a must.
Once you have them saved you can upload it to your cloud and use them whenever you feel like it. (I use a Time Capsule for most of my collections but have a few on my phone.)
For example I had a funny thought and opened up my A+ Signature app and within 5 minutes I created a Pin-able quote.
Below are a few examples of my own collection that I plan to use in the future :)

DIY CREATIVES Self-Care - Walnut Scrub
Back-in-the-day my sister and I would take more time from our usual beauty rituals. In preparation for the weekend we would mask, wax, scrub, oil, condition and listen to music with a loud base. Since becoming a mother of seven I don't quite have that kind of time.
Try not to fill the grinder up because the oils from the walnut will cause it to clog.
It will be extremely gooey but you want to make sure that you incorporate all of the honey into the ground walnuts. When you're ready to use rub it over a moist face in an upward circular motion. You can leave it on for a few and then rinse it off. Showers work best for this messy concoction. *Remember you can substitute flaxseed if you're allergic.
Speaking of little girls... look who wanted to try it out. Since it was made by me and all natural I didn't mind. PEACE be the Journey.
I've been slowly rekindling that love for natural beauty and the only difference is that I keep it super-simple. This recipe has two ingredients and can be kept in the shower. I use it daily until it's all gone.
Try not to fill the grinder up because the oils from the walnut will cause it to clog.
- 1/2 Cup Walnuts (or flaxseed)
- 2-3 Tbsp Honey (local organic)
- 1 Mason jar to mix & store

#OutdoorCreative, Get Out & Boost!
Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring is inevitable. Especially if you live away from the equator but there's a gem of inspiration just waiting for you. All you have to do is "Get out doors."
We're spending too much time looking down and not up. Checking our phones and gadgets is a constant tick in the culture of instant, plastic and now-gratification.
What can we do... because we know that living that way is not beneficial. There's only one remedy, "Turn off your gadget and go outside." Breathe and greet the day. Try it :)

#SummerCreative Easy iPhone Photography
I'll be the first to say that I am addicted to taking pictures, ask my family. One simple hike will turn into a slow pace and eventually an abrupt halt. I travel light with just an iPhone and a tiny bag carrying my ōllo Clip. I wrote an entire blog post about my lens and will include the link below. These images were captured with a 10x Macro.

If no one celebrates you, then CELEBRATE yourself!
We wait for other's to complement us because that's the polite thing to do but what if no one say's anything good about you? Then celebrate yourself! Get up and go somewhere that will boost your creative being. Maybe a cafe, museum, seaside, hike, window shop, concert, book store, craft store or garden.
My first years of marriage and motherhood weren't as celebrated as I would have imagined. (Young couples trying to make ends meet are often too busy pinching pennies.) One year I decided to celebrate Mothers Day my way. Zero expectations on my husband and an entire day that I can plan and do what ever I wanted... alone.
As it turned out I began to invite other women to hangout and every year there was something different to do. Then one year I came home to an elaborate dinner and eventually these grew into gift cards, museum memberships, roses and trips planned by my husband and children.

I guess they saw me celebrating and wanted to join the party. This year they took me to one of my favorite Seattle spots, Chihuly Garden and Glass. I was impressed at how they engaged with all of the art pieces, even my two year old. The bottom line is that you teach people how to treat you. PEACE be the Journey.
