#iLoveTBC , Day 25 - How to create simple affirmations to support your goals.

Like everything else that is shared here I prefer to answer the, "What is it?" And "Why do I need it?"

What is an affirmation?
It's support or encouragement to affirm something. This can be written or memorized.

Why do I need it?
We all need encouragement. The end. (Ahhh... but there's more.)

Watch the YouTube video #FailuresNotEnough then make your own affirmation. (New episodes are recorded on Tuesday's so don't forget to subscribe.)

How to create your own affirmation.

  • Think about three strong and positive emotions you feel.
  • Write them down.
  • Now build a sentence with those words.
  • Keep it simple and with one thought unless the words flow together. (Like live, laugh, love.)
Bad example: I know that I can run every day, do 100 squats and Zumba®   with Ho'o five times a week.

  1. There's zero emotions involved. Needs heart.
  2. Too many things happening.
  3. A bit unrealistic to real life situations.
Good example: I will move with intention daily.

DIY - Stock Photos

I like using my own pictures and if you're reading this you probably do to because copyright issues is a drag. Who wants the hassle? If you're new to creating stock photos or like your mobile camera this is a great place to start.

Opportunity - There's always a photo opp but it might not be where you expect it. Look down and think, "Honey I shrunk the kids." [Remember that movie & the mushroom scene?] I used A+ Signature drawing feature to doodle a dude chilling under the shade.

Start a Collection - Take several shots in the same light. You can choose different subjects but keep the lighting consistent. [I usually don't mark my pics until I'm ready to use them.] If you have iPhone it will categorize your photos.

Offset - Your subject in case you might want to add text to it later.

Build - Your stock photos and create themes that you can use in the future. For example Christmas comes every year and what you capture can be used next year. [Tip: Keep 3 to 5 pics in each session. Sometimes less is more.]

Girlfriends #Beauty

Spending time with friends can be a beautiful and heart warming experience. Now I know that Valentines is suppose to be reserved for secret loves but let's start a new tradition. Why not get together with a few of your favorite girlfriends. DIY your own invitations using photo apps.

Above is a picture of my beautiful sister and fellow blogger who after the birth of her sixth child started a new blog: www.RainbowLuxeHawaii.blogspot.com We enjoy our time together and meeting up with other friends. Happy Valentines Day and take time to learn how it really started. PEACE be the Journey. Ho'o

Turn Yesterday's Smudge into Today's Art

I took the left over paint from an earlier project and added watercolors to the dried acrylics. It looks like a fish dressed in red wearing a top hat and dancing disco. Hope you make time to smudge :) PEACE be the Journey.

The paint came from a project I did called, "What does the apple say?"
