Soap with a POSITIVE Message for the Creative

Talk about surrounding yourself with good thoughts this takes the cake, as in a "Cake of soap." Okay that was corny but the point is that it's nice to see so much creativity even in daily items.

Why is this so amazing?
Because TCB's mantra is "Turning the mundane into Marvelous." So the winner is this everyday item that can now grace your bathroom counter.

Let's not forget the benefits of Glycerine which is great for sensitive skin and helps to moisturize. You can tell if your soap is great if it seems to almost melt away. The #1 goal is to find a soap maker near you & buy local. PEACE be the Journey.

Lavender Iced Tea - Self Care for Your Senses

Steeping tea is an art in some cultures and bringing in the fresh flavor of lavender can be uplifting to all of your senses. My sister, Rainbow Luxe Hawaii, and I decided to focus on Lavender recipes.

I made a hot brew base added some honey then let it cool. When I was ready to enjoy it I simply added ice & "poof" naturally flavored iced tea. Now I'm ready to create!

DIY CREATIVES Self-Care - Walnut Scrub

Back-in-the-day my sister and I would take more time from our usual beauty rituals. In preparation for the weekend we would mask, wax, scrub, oil, condition and listen to music with a loud base. Since becoming a mother of seven I don't quite have that kind of time.

I've been slowly rekindling that love for natural beauty and the only difference is that I keep it super-simple. This recipe has two ingredients and can be kept in the shower. I use it daily until it's all gone.

Try not to fill the grinder up because the oils from the walnut will cause it to clog.
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts (or flaxseed)
  • 2-3 Tbsp Honey (local organic)
  • 1 Mason jar to mix & store
The best part is combining it all together. It's so fun and messy, which brings out the little girl in me. Honestly I don't know why I waited so long to play with my food again.

It will be extremely gooey but you want to make sure that you incorporate all of the honey into the ground walnuts. When you're ready to use rub it over a moist face in an upward circular motion. You can leave it on for a few and then rinse it off. Showers work best for this messy concoction. *Remember you can substitute flaxseed if you're allergic.

Speaking of little girls... look who wanted to try it out. Since it was made by me and all natural I didn't mind. PEACE be the Journey.

DIY Natural Beauty Products

Making your own body scrubs and mask is easier then you think. If you can set aside one hour on a Sunday afternoon the possibilities are endless. These are examples from a class I teach called EAT IT OR WEAR IT and I have seen participants licking their spoons. Bottom line is that you can step away from harsh chemicals.

BASIC BROWN SUGAR SCRUB

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 ounces Almond/Olive oil
  • 15-22 Drops of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Mason jar to mix and store and I like that it has measurements on the side.

Remember it's food so store in a cool place and use it often. PEACE be the Journey.

(Choose only the best ingredients & always consult your doctor before trying any recipe from this blog.)

Here's the vlog that we, Paish & I, mentioned the sugar scrub.

#TimeIsNow 5-Steps to Manifestation

Ideas often snuggle up in our mind and stay there but don't you feel the urge to make something happen? Here's five (5) simple steps that you can implement and share. I'm using the images from an art project because I was tired of staring at a blank wall. So I busted out the art supplies and went buck.

1. Daydream about the possibilities.

2. Focus on a few tangible things you can do to make it happen. (Maybe write out all your thoughts and circle two task that you can start with.)

3. When you're done with each, mark it off then move on to the next two.

4. Be consistent. In other words if you made time on Tuesday then block off the same hour(s) and schedule your task to follow that pattern.

5. Tweak if you need to or ask for help along the way. Maintain your schedule until your idea is manifested. (Grand ideas take time so start small and stay positive.)

This is TCV's (The Creative View) episode titled #TimeIsNow. Enjoy and share. PEACE be the Journey. Ho'o

Creative Beauty Summer Starter-Kit

Let me say that quality is EVERYTHING and you get what you pay for so don't skimp on yourself. You're an amazing creation of intricate structure and a wonderful experience we call "human being." What you put on your skin is just as important as what goes into your body.

All of these products, with the exception of the honey, is from a lovely brand called Mountain Rose Herbs. (Link Below) I purchased my essentials through Ubiquitous Journey in Tacoma, WA. (Yes there's a difference between their coconut oil and the ones at most grocery stores.)

The honey is local (Yippee) and you'll notice two types; blackberry and raspberry. It's important to know that they're not flavored. This is a natural process that happens when the hive is around certain plants and they pollenate the flowers of that particular flora.

I can't say enough good things about Vitamin E. It's wonderful internally and externally. I also like using almond oil with Vitamin E because they complement one another.

This is the start to many-many-many wonderful DIY beauty products. I mentioned these items in my #BeautyBabiesBigBoyz vlog and I wanted to share them here. ***Good news I'm teaching a class using these items called "Eat It or Wear It" for Free-University. I will be volunteering my services and all the profits go towards Free-U. That's a whopping $25 for supplies but if you don't live in the area then stay tuned. I'm working with Ubi's to make kits that correspond with my vlogs.***

#iLoveTBC , Day 25 - How to create simple affirmations to support your goals.

Like everything else that is shared here I prefer to answer the, "What is it?" And "Why do I need it?"

What is an affirmation?
It's support or encouragement to affirm something. This can be written or memorized.

Why do I need it?
We all need encouragement. The end. (Ahhh... but there's more.)

Watch the YouTube video #FailuresNotEnough then make your own affirmation. (New episodes are recorded on Tuesday's so don't forget to subscribe.)

How to create your own affirmation.

  • Think about three strong and positive emotions you feel.
  • Write them down.
  • Now build a sentence with those words.
  • Keep it simple and with one thought unless the words flow together. (Like live, laugh, love.)
Bad example: I know that I can run every day, do 100 squats and Zumba®   with Ho'o five times a week.

  1. There's zero emotions involved. Needs heart.
  2. Too many things happening.
  3. A bit unrealistic to real life situations.
Good example: I will move with intention daily.

#iLoveTBC , Day 12 - Should grown-ups have hero's?

Who do you admire? As a child we can name a bunch of fictional characters that put super in the SUPERstar title. Then we grow up and learn more about the world around us. Eventually we begin to admire someones musical talents or design abilities. I don't know about you but Superman is still my favorite. [I have a few items in my office/studio.]

Our hero's weren't meant to be put on a pedestal  instead they were suppose to set a standard for us. A way of saying, "Hey I did this so you can do it too!" It's okay to admire their qualities but worshiping human efforts always lead to ruin. Let's not take it too far :) but who do you admire?

Who has inspired you to #BeMoreDoMore? [Be More Do More]

I also admire innovation and classic preservation. How brilliant minds came together to create what we call "Vintage Automobiles." Today we admire them driving down the road on a sunny day, always on a sunny day.

I live in the same town as the famous car collector Harold Lemay and to say that I admire his car collection is an understatement. Although I don't see myself accumulating antique cars but I do feel I have the desire to preserve.

Got time for a story about Mr. Lemay...
I never knew him but one of my Zumba Gold®  students was sharing how, many years ago, she had to count the offering collected during Sunday service. They would see $100 bills in the offering plate which would be like $1,000 by today's standards. Those hundred dollar bills would always show up when the Lemay's came to church. PEACE be the Journey.

#iLoveTBC, Day 5 - Doodle

The gift of stillness is a precious commodity. Especially when we are always busy. Have you ever tried to recall what you did the week before and your mind goes blank? That's called "Busy-ness" also know as "Too busy being busy."

Today's prompt is a ONE MINUTE stillness or meditation. All you have to do is click on the YouTube link and listen to the flow of water & breath. That's all! Cool right? When you're done doodle how you feel in your journal. PEACE be the Journey.
